7 private schools in Haidian will be converted to public schools to add 10,000 public degrees

According to the requirements of documents issued by eight departments including the Ministry of Education last year, there are seven “public schools” in Haidian District that should be converted into public schools, including the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China, the Experimental High School Affiliated to Tsinghua University, and the Experimental High School Affiliated to Peking University.
A reporter from Beijing Youth Daily learned that after these seven schools are converted to public schools, the enrollment scale will be basically the same, and the enrollment, courses, teachers, and management will generally remain stable.
Haidian District will therefore add about 10,000 public education degrees.
The so-called "public participation citizens" refers to private compulsory education schools run or participated by public schools.
According to the requirements of the document, “public participation and citizen” schools are divided into three categories: compulsory education schools run by public schools alone; compulsory education schools run by public schools in cooperation with local governments and related institutions; compulsory education schools run by public schools in cooperation with other social organizations and individuals education school.
Among them, the first two types of schools should be converted into public schools, and the third type of schools can continue to hold private schools after decoupling from public schools.
According to the requirements of the document, the Haidian District Education Commission has determined that the seven "public participation and civilian" schools in the district belong to the first and second categories, including: the High School Affiliated to Renmin University of China, the Affiliated School of Beiwai University, the Jianhua Experimental School, and the High School Affiliated to Science and Technology. The school, the name of the school remains unchanged, and as a newly established public school, it will carry out the enrollment work of the new school year; the experimental school affiliated to Tsinghua University will be converted into a public school run by the university, and the school name will remain unchanged; They were transferred to two public schools, the High School Affiliated to Minda University and the High School Affiliated to Peking University, which were organized by the university.
The other 3 schools belong to the third category of "public servants and citizens". After the standardization, they will continue to hold private schools. The No. 101 Experimental School was renamed Qihui Future School in Haidian District, Beijing. District Renbei Experimental School, Tsinghua High School Daoxianghu School was renamed Daoxianghu School in Haidian District, Beijing.
In terms of enrollment and further studies, after the above-mentioned 7 schools were transferred from private to public, the enrollment scale was basically the same as that of previous years; the entrance examination method for students in the school remained unchanged, and the newly recruited first-year students in 2022 were implemented in accordance with the relevant policies of the Municipal Education Commission.
In terms of fees, after the new semester starts in September this year, the compulsory education students of the above seven schools will be exempted from tuition and miscellaneous fees in accordance with national regulations, and the high school students will be charged relevant fees according to the standards of public high schools.
