"The Arab Reading Challenge" crowns Rashid Al-Khatib a champion in Jordan

The "Arab Reading Challenge" was crowned student Rashid Abdullah Anwar Al-Khatib as the champion of the sixth session at the level of Jordan, among 2,186,957 students from 3,836 schools who participated from the Kingdom in the largest reading demonstration of its kind in the world in the Arabic language.

And qualified to the finals at the level of Jordan, 10 top 10, from whom the judging committees chose Rashid Al-Khatib (from the 11th grade at King Abdullah II School) the champion of the challenge at the Jordanian national level for this year's session.

And he was awarded the title of Distinguished Supervisor Nour Al-Jabour from Al-Qweismeh School, after he distinguished himself from among the 7678 supervisors who participated in empowering the students participating in the challenge at the level of Jordan.

During the closing ceremony of the challenge in Amman, the Secretary-General of Educational and Technical Affairs in Jordan, Dr. Nawaf Al-Ajarmeh, stressed that the Kingdom’s students are keen to participate in various events that enhance the status of the Arabic language, enrich its content, and elevate its position in daily life and the cultural and knowledge scene.

He added, "At the Arab and international levels, Jordanian students participate in all courses (the Arab Reading Challenge) organized by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, and open the door to competition for participants from the Arab region and the world, in order to enhance the role of the Arabic language as a language of science and literature and the production of knowledge and useful content in The era of digital transformation.

For her part, Director of the Office of Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, Sarah Al Nuaimi, said that "the demand of Jordanian students to participate in the (Arab Reading Challenge) in all its sessions gives this initiative, which this year reached more than 22 million participants from 44 countries. , a qualitative impetus, and reflects the solidification of the love of knowledge and learning among the younger generations in Jordan.”

She commended the passion for knowledge, reading and reading shown by all participants in the “Arab Reading Challenge” in the Kingdom, calling on the students to continue their inspiring keenness to enhance their reading and cognitive abilities and capabilities, and to raise the profile of the language of the dhad.
