Against the backdrop of military failures in Ukraine, the internal political struggle sharply escalated.

President Zelensky is in a hurry to clear the political field from competitors led by ex-president Poroshenko and their support groups in the army and law enforcement agencies.

In turn, not wanting to be whipping boys, his opponents do not lose hope to change the power of the KVN team "95th Quarter", which failed to cope with the crisis management.

The latest evidence that clouds are gathering over Petro Poroshenko again was the story of his failed trip to Lithuania to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

At the end of last week, the leader of the European Solidarity party tried twice to cross the Ukrainian-Polish border, but was refused by the border service.

Poroshenko managed to break out of Ukraine only on the third attempt, on Monday.

True, in the end he went to Rotterdam, to the summit of the European People's Party.

“They pressed on… The authorities realized that the legal chaos with an unreasonable ban on crossing the border grossly contradicts the declared European integration,” said Vladimir Ariev, a deputy from European Solidarity.

Against this background, the Security Service of Ukraine summoned former Secretary of the Security Council Oleksandr Turchynov, ex-Prime Minister Arseniy Yatsenyuk and ex-Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov for re-interrogation on May 30 in order to obtain their testimony in the case of "high treason and sponsoring terrorism", the main defendant in which is the same Poroshenko.

“I received information from the media about inadequate political PR by the Security Service… I want to inform the “heroic” investigators that I am on the South-Eastern Front and ready to answer any questions in one of the trenches,” Oleksandr Turchynov, who did not appear for the first interrogation on 19 May.

Arseniy Yatsenyuk and Arsen Avakov did the same.

However, the Security Service of Ukraine stubbornly bends its line, a week ago spreading the confession of another defendant in the case of "coal treason" - the head of the political council of the Opposition Platform - For Life (OPZZH) Viktor Medvedchuk.

“I started to deal with the pipe at the request of Poroshenko… The courts, the prosecutor’s office, the Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine, the State Property Fund — they all made decisions in Poroshenko’s personal interests,” Viktor Medvedchuk said.

Immediately after that, the head of the SBU, Ivan Bakanov, said that Medvedchuk's testimony did not leave the slightest doubt that Petro Poroshenko had committed high treason.

Against this background, heads have already flown in the power structures.

During a visit to Kharkiv on Sunday, Volodymyr Zelenskyy removed Roman Dudin, head of the Ukrainian Security Service in the Kharkiv region, from his post.

“I fired the head of the regional SBU.

For the fact that he did not work to protect the city from the first days of a full-scale war, but thought only of himself personally.

What motives - law enforcement officers will find out, ”Vladimir Zelensky said in his video message.

Numerous events of recent days add up to one picture of a renewed political war in Kyiv, the main question of which is “Who is to blame?”.

Another question - "What to do?"

- does not cause such heated debate, since for both competing teams the answer is obvious: fight Russia.

They only argue about who can do it better and who is more worthy of the attention, support and money of the West.
