Recently, archaeologists discovered the ruins of a Mayan ancient city with a history of thousands of years at a construction site in the Yucatan Peninsula.
According to reports, the ancient city is located near the coastal town of Merida in the northern Yucatan Peninsula.
During the construction of the local industrial park, a boulder was first discovered at the construction site. After further excavation, a large building was found, so the National Institute of Anthropology and History of Mexico was notified, and the latter took over the archaeological work.
