Recently, the reporter photographed the endangered and endangered plant, Dipterocarpus tokyo, in the Dawei Mountain Nature Reserve in Pingbian County, Honghe Prefecture, Yunnan Province.
The Tokyo dipterocarp community photographed by this reporter is composed of 7-8 trees.
According to the staff of Yunnan Dawei Mountain Management and Protection Bureau, at present, there are 6 Tokyo dipterocarp communities found in the whole Dawei Mountain, and there are 20-30 large trees that can reproduce.
Tokyo Dipterocarp, also known as Yunnan Dipterocarp, is a rare and endangered plant under the national class I protection.
In Yunnan, it is mainly distributed in tropical rain forests and valley rain forests in the southeast and southwest.
