Yesterday, the book "Expo Dubai... Solidarity on Earth, a Hug in the Sky", by Emirati writer Ali Abu Al-Rish, was launched during a discussion session at the Emirates Writers Union pavilion, participating in the 31st edition of the Abu Dhabi International Book Fair.

The Minister of Culture and Youth, Noura bint Mohammed Al Kaabi, who witnessed the launch of the book, said: "The world's agenda is teeming with huge events, but (Expo) will have a different glow and brilliance, and the celebration of the UAE's 50th anniversary of its union was more joyful, because of its consistency and harmony with the date of organizing (Expo 2020 Dubai), which is a global platform for introducing the various cultures and customs of peoples, the intersection of civilizations and the history of this planet since the beginning of creation, and an exhibition for the future, and for every new innovation that contributes to the well-being and security of all mankind.”

In her introduction to the book, Al Kaabi added: "The enormity of the event requires us to immortalize it in a book that generations will return to in the future, proud of the achievements of those who preceded it, and of the solid foundation it inherited from them, and this is what the creative Emirati writer Ali Abu Al-Rish wrote in his book."

The book documents the visits made by Ali Abu Al-Rish to the various pavilions of the countries participating in the "Dubai Expo", and documents his journey in written form, through which the reader is informed of different and unique cultures, knowledge, ideas, customs and traditions, and in a distinctive creative style.

For his part, the Chairman of the Council of the Emirates Writers Union, Sultan Al-Amimi, said during the session, “The book constitutes a qualitative addition to the Emirati library, and is an important historical and literary testimony to the Dubai hosting event for (Expo 2020) through the writer’s style in which he combined more than one gender.” Literary, such as travel literature, diaries and biography, in a sophisticated poetic and literary language.

The book was issued with the support of the Ministry of Culture and Youth, the United Press, and the Emirates Writers Union, as part of a project aimed at enriching the Emirati library and written content in the country, supporting and encouraging creators and intellectuals, and motivating them to intensify intellectual production.
