At present, Shenyang Bird Island has artificially incubating more than 2,000 kinds of various types of bird eggs.

Now we use both parental and artificial hatching. One is to ensure the expansion of the population, and the other is that the survival rate of parent birds with young birds after hatching is low. This is one of the biggest reasons why we use artificial hatching.
[Explanation] Ma Yunfeng, born in 1997, is a breeder on Shenyang Bird Island. He has worked here for four years and is mainly responsible for the hatching of birds.

After the peak season of egg-laying, each museum will send different types of eggs one after another. I need to count these eggs, and then they need to hatch after disinfection. After hatching, they need to brood, because the birds are relatively small. It is required a relatively high temperature.
[Same period at the scene] This is the egg of the Australian ostrich emu. This relatively small one is the egg of the pheasant that is often referred to. Their incubation days are different.
[Explanation] In the brooding room, seven incubators are working. Ma Yunfeng told reporters that the first thing after going to work every day is to check the operation of the brooding machine, whether there is a lack of water in the machine, whether the turret is normal, and whether the temperature and humidity are normal. No change...will directly affect whether the chick can successfully break the shell.

Above this incubator is the temperature, humidity and the number of egg turnings. Egg turning is mainly because it imitates the behavior of a mother bird turning eggs in the natural environment.
Different species, so the incubation temperature and humidity of each bird are also different.
[Explanation] Ma Yunfeng will often hold a "flashlight" in his hand to regularly irradiate the eggs in the incubator.

After 7 days, we will use the egg finder to take a picture of the egg, and then weed out some unfertilized eggs and cracked eggs.
It is the embryo, the embryo of the bird, and then these blood vessels, which are wrapped in the yolk, will supply the embryo through the nutrition of the yolk.
[Explanation] Ma Yunfeng introduced that the artificial incubation of birds has to go through a series of steps, and each step must be carefully.
The breeder will inspect each batch of eggs, distinguish healthy chicks from weak chicks, and manually assist in breaking the shells of weak chicks. For chicks that have hatched, they still need to observe their health status every day, and find problems and treat them in time. .

Here is an Australian ostrich, which has just hatched.

Many birds are very smart, they can recognize who you are, like some birds from the hatching center, after feeding for a long time, you will find that they will follow you, maybe take you as a mother, or treat you as a big bird.

The rescued parrots will be kept in isolation first, and then for some parrots with health problems, we will choose to treat them with drugs, and then make some adjustments to their drinking water and feed.

Because the hornbill is monogamous, and it has a natural behavior of feeding each other, it also feels especially loving, and like the mandarin duck, and then the peacock, as everyone thinks, it is not monogamous.
