The crime rate in Jordan decreased to a crime every (25) minutes and two seconds last year (2021), while in the year 2020 it was about (23) minutes (45) seconds, which indicates a decrease in criminal and misdemeanor crimes last year, including theft cases. .
And according to the statistics of the Public Security Directorate in Jordan, and according to the Jordanian newspaper, "Al-Ghad", the number of crimes committed on the territory of the Kingdom last year amounted to (20,991) crimes, while in the previous year it was (22187) crimes, i.e. a difference of (1196) crimes.
In terms of criminal crimes that occurred inside the Kingdom, last year amounted to (5,237) crimes, ranging from premeditated murder, intentional killing, beating leading to death, and attempted murder, in addition to the crimes of bribery and theft, while the crimes in the previous year were (6,169) crimes, i.e. a difference (932) a crime.
Among the criminal cases that decreased, were the cases of attempted murder and criminal theft, in addition to the crime of bribery.
In terms of misdemeanor crimes, which recorded a decrease last year (15,754) crimes, compared to the previous year, where (16,018) crimes were recorded, i.e. a difference of (264) crimes. Which recorded a decrease in delinquent cases.
As for criminal crimes, their time average was one crime every hour (40 minutes) and (22) seconds. As for misdemeanour crimes, their time average was one crime every (22) minutes and seconds.
The average time for crimes against public confidence was one crime every (8) hours, 3 minutes and 22 seconds.
As for the crimes that fall on the public administration, their average time is one crime every 3 hours, 58 minutes and 42 seconds.
With regard to crimes that pose a threat to public safety, their time average was one crime every 4 hours, 34 minutes and 26 seconds.
Statistics regarding crimes against morals and public morals showed that their average time was last year, with a crime every 6 hours and 43 minutes.
