A sightseeing boat that sank off the Shiretoko Peninsula in Hokkaido and fell while being carried by a work boat was lifted onto the work boat before dawn on the 27th, and arrived at Abashiri Port on the afternoon of the 27th for landing.

The landing is expected to be after the 28th, and the investigation of the cause of the accident will begin in earnest.

In the accident where the tour boat "KAZU 1" sank off the coast of the Shiretoko Peninsula, the hull was lifted from the seabed by a salvage company's work boat and fell while being carried underwater on the 24th of this month.



On the 26th, work was carried out to lift the hull that had fallen to the seabed at a depth of 182 meters off the coast of Utoro in Shari Town, and the hull appeared above the sea level for the first time after the accident.



After that, the hull was transported to a shallow sea area suitable for repatriation work, and at 3:20 am on the 27th, the work of repatriation was completed on the work ship.

To land the hull, the workboat headed for Abashiri Port, about 45 kilometers away from the site of withdrawal, and arrived after 2:30 pm.



The landing will be carried out at Abashiri Port from the 28th after draining the water from the ship, and the investigation of the cause of the accident will begin in earnest.
