Life imprisonment for a Kuwaiti woman who killed her daughter... and the father's lawyer: We will appeal the verdict and demand the death penalty!

The Criminal Court in Kuwait has sentenced a Kuwaiti woman accused of killing her daughter to life imprisonment in what was known as the "Salmiya crime", after she had locked her in the toilet for 5 years until her body decomposed.

The court considered that this punishment is the one that the accused deserves, in accordance with the law.

While the lawyer appointed by the father, Fatima Al-Dhiban, said that, "Although life is a death sentence, we will appeal the verdict on appeal, and we demand the execution of the accused."

According to the Kuwaiti Al-Qabas newspaper.

It is reported that the accused mother has denied the charges against her, and confirmed that she did not intend to kill her daughter, but rather meant to imprison her to control her, and when she discovered her death, she did not disclose the matter for fear of being accused of murder and imprisoned.
