At Funabashi Municipal High School in Funabashi City, Chiba Prefecture, a special exhibition is being held to coincide with the release of a movie depicting a graduate who died at the age of 20 after devoting himself to brass band.

The movie "20-year-old soul" released on the 27th was in charge of the trombone in the brass band club of Funabashi Municipal High School, which is nicknamed "Ichifuna", and died of cancer in 2017 after graduation at the age of 20. Mr. Daiyoshi Asano is the model of the main character.

The cheering song "Ichifune soul" that Mr. Asano wrote for his alma mater is still inherited as it leads to points when played at a high school baseball tournament.

At the exhibition, the keyboard used by Mr. Asano and photographs from his high school days are on display, as well as videos and messages from 164 brass band graduates playing "Ichifune soul" at the farewell ceremony. The banner is also displayed.

A man who visited the exhibition said, "His son goes to Ichifuna, so I took a look at it with emotion. Mr. Asano had a short life, but I thought he survived." ..

Kenji Yamazaki, President of Funabashi City Culture and Sports Corporation, who held the exhibition, said, "There are some exhibitions that cannot be seen without tears, so please come by all means."

The exhibition will be held at Funabashi Citizen's Gallery until the 5th of next month.
