600 years ago, the great-grandson of Kublai Khan, the first ancestor of the Yuan Dynasty, surrendered to the Ming Dynasty on the banks of Datong, a tributary of the Yellow River.

After the expansion or repair of the chieftain, the existing building is the pattern after the expansion of the fifteenth chieftain in the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. It now covers an area of nearly 40,000 square meters and a construction area of nearly 9,000 square meters.

In this building complex, the Yamen is the area where the Tusi handles official business, and the layout is rigorous; the residential area is the living area of the family members, and the design is exquisite; the garden is also called the official garden.

There were 24 chieftains in the nineteenth generation of Lu Tusi, which lasted for 562 years. During the period, there were 8 high-ranking officials who were either actually granted or posthumously awarded as the first grade.

On the archway at the entrance, there is a plaque of "Shi Du Loyalty". The existing archway was rebuilt during the Jiaqing period of the Qing Dynasty. The four characters "Shi Du Loyalty" are the imperial pen of Emperor Jiaqing.

In the inner room of the yamen, there are also vein-shaped flues extending in all directions, similar to today's floor heating and soil heating, and it is called one of the three musts of the yamen by the management department.

The entire building complex faces south, with several courtyards on the central axis, which are connected in a straight line, and the courtyards are connected to each other.
