Editor's note:

Every Chinese who works hard to live is the most beautiful struggler.

It is precisely because of hundreds of millions of strugglers that China is today.

For ten years, pay tribute to every struggle of you.

Let us work together to forge ahead in the new era, and work hard towards the future.

Huamao Village, Fengxiang Town, Zunyi City, Guizhou Province, formerly known as Barren Maotian, is a poor village as desolate as its name.

The mother, who grew up in a family of clay pottery in the village, was the fourth-generation inheritor of clay pottery skills. In his early years, due to poverty, he could not support his family by making clay pottery, so he had the idea of giving up this craft and going out to work with the villagers.

During that time, Mu Xiancai was the most tormented, with life on the one hand and skills on the other.

Thinking that clay pottery making is a craft passed down from generation to generation in the family, he finally insisted on making clay pottery in Huamao Village.

In April 2014, Zunyi built Huamao Village by taking the opportunity of developing the red tourism of the Gouba conference site, which perfectly combines the new countryside with the old clay pottery, and the traditional crafts and emerging industries complement each other.

"Huamao-Gouba Scenic Spot" and the core Gouba Red Cultural Tourism Scenic Spot are 100 key tourist attractions in Guizhou Province and one of the four major cultural tourism parks in Zunyi.

Huamao Village developed rural tourism, and the village gained popularity. Mu Xiancai's persistence saw hope. Combining with the needs of tourists, he began to create decorative clay pottery. There were more tourists in the village, and his family's business became more and more. The more prosperous, the annual income more than 10 times.

Today's "barren thatched fields" have become "Hua Mao Village", and the red culture and green ecology complement each other, evoking the nostalgia of tourists.
