Variation in the level of blood pressure in the hands is a symptom of a serious illness

The cardiovascular specialist explained that the difference in the level of blood pressure in the hands may indicate the presence of a tumor.

The Russian doctor, Alexei Gito, said, during a television interview, as reported by "Russia Today", that the difference in the level of high blood pressure in the right hand from its level in the left hand, could indicate serious diseases.

He added that if the difference is within 5-10 millimeters of mercury column, then it is normal, but if the difference is more than this, it indicates disease.

Of course, the difference could be due to an increased burden on one hand, but there are actually more serious reasons.

He continued, "There are pathological causes as well, such as the scalene muscle syndrome (syndrome), where when muscle fibers are damaged, spasm and pressure on the arteries occurs. And some benign and malignant tumors can cause pressure on the arteries, atherosclerosis and the accumulation of cholesterol plaques on the inner walls of blood vessels, which It causes low blood pressure.

The specialist stressed that the difference in the level of blood pressure in the hands can occur due to personal congenital anomalies related to the location of the arteries, and so on.
