Legal action against Amr Waked: He insulted the Egyptian woman

The director of complaints at the National Council for Women in Egypt, Amal Abdel Moneim, confirmed that the council submitted a complaint to the Egyptian Attorney General against the artist, Amr Waked, because of his insulting statements to women.

She added, during a television statement, that "the Egyptian woman is setting an example globally in the struggle for the homeland and her sincerity in building a strong and cohesive family for the sake of the nation's elevation and development."

She explained that the council submitted a complaint to the Public Prosecutor against Amr Waked's statements, commenting: Anyone who insults the women of Egypt must know that he is not safe.

She pointed out that the Egyptian state is working to protect and empower women through all institutions, without any consideration of political or religious tendencies, according to "Cairo 24".

She noted that the council rejects any form of insulting Egyptian women, in response to the insult directed by the artist Amr Waked against Egyptian women.
