Last January, a depollution site started on a plot of 14,000 m3 between Boissy-l'Aillerie and Puiseux-Pontoise (Val-d'Oise).

By June, the 6,000 tonnes of litter found there should have completely disappeared thanks to the company ECT, reports

Le Parisien

.

The company has entered into an agreement with the urban community of Cergy-Pontoise.

Soil from public works

It will take care of the complete cleaning and rehabilitation of the land illegally occupied since December 2017. The rubbish will be sorted and recycled when possible.

After this stage, the company will deposit 500,000 m3 of excavated earth from the construction sector on the site.

Specialists want to create afforestation and give priority to plantations that promote biodiversity.

The objective is to make the wild dump again suitable for agriculture by the fall of 2024. This operation is considered by officials to be a test action.

It could indeed be reproduced, in the future, in other places of the department.
