On the 24th, a sightseeing boat that sank off the Shiretoko Peninsula in Hokkaido fell while being carried by a work boat in the sea, and sank to a depth of about 180 meters.

In order to lift this hull again, the salvage company will use an unmanned underwater robot to put a belt on the hull on the 25th.

In the accident where the tourist ship "KAZU1" sank off the coast of the Shiretoko Peninsula, the hull was lifted from the seabed at a depth of about 120 meters at the sinking site on the 23rd, and was carried by a salvage company's work boat while being suspended in the sea. However, on the morning of the 24th, it fell about 11 km west of Utoro Port in Shari Town.

It was confirmed that the hull that had fallen was sunk on the seabed at a depth of about 180 meters with the bottom down, and it is said that it has remained in its original shape without major damage.

Also, according to the 1st Regional Coast Guard Headquarters, two of the five belts on the hull on the stern side were broken, but the detailed cause of the fall is unknown.

On the 25th, the salvage company will use an unmanned underwater robot to put a belt on the hull, and on the 26th, it will lift the hull to the surface of the water again and fix it next to the work ship.

Saturation diving by divers is not performed, and all work is done by underwater robots.

After the hull is lifted again, it will be moved to the sea area 1 km offshore from Utoro Port and lifted onto the work boat, and will be landed at Abashiri Port on the 27th of this month at the earliest.
