The moment a child fell into a sink and his mother screamed.. Watch the video

The British newspaper, "Metro", published a video of the moment an 18-month-old baby fell into a sink, while his mother ran after him screaming in an attempt to save him.

A surveillance camera captured the details of the incident, and the terrifying footage showed Amy Blythe, 23, walking with her son Theo in Ashford, Kent.

The child was covered in sewage. "The first thing I thought of was he was dead, I pulled the manhole cover out and saw him screaming my name. The sewage was up to his knees."

The mother continued, "I jumped down the drain and it wasn't big enough for me to bend over to grab it. I had to kind of arch my body to grab it and pull it, I don't know how I did that. My body curved in a way I hadn't before, just to get it out of this gutter." .

The mother added: "It could have ended much worse. I feel nauseous when I remember what happened... It's an absolute nightmare, and I'm still really traumatized by it."

The mother filed a complaint with the company responsible for the drain, and the day after the accident, four investigators were seen in the area looking into the cause of the accident, and the utility company confirmed that it was investigating and taking the matter very seriously.
