Carrefour announced on Tuesday the recall of a dry sausage reference sold in its stores throughout France.

The product concerned is the artisanal dry sausage with Beaufort 180 g VPF marketed under the Alliance Producteur brand, we learn on the dedicated page of the Rappel.conso.gouv.fr site.

If the retail giant took this decision, it is because the results of the bacteriological tests carried out on the products proved to be unsatisfactory.

The analyzes have indeed made it possible to detect in these sausages traces of salmonella and more particularly of Salmonella spp.

This is the causative agent of salmonellosis, the most common symptoms of which are high fever, headache, diarrhea and vomiting.

The bacterium can be particularly dangerous in cases of pregnancy or immunosuppression.

In-store refund

Two batches of Carrefour dry sausage are potentially contaminated: 13922 and 14022. They have use-by dates of July 18, 2022 and July 19, 2022 respectively. People who have purchased this charcuterie are invited to return the product to the store where it will be refunded to them.
