Recently, the Shanghai Hongkou WeChat platform received a thank you message from a resident: Officer Wang from the Jiangwan Town Memorial Community helped the residents solve their problems, especially for the elderly.

The reporter contacted the Jiangwan Town Street Memorial Neighborhood Committee where the resident was located, and found the police officer Wang.

It turned out that the police officer Wang, whose full name is Wang Guohua, was a community policeman at the Jiangwan Town Street Police Station.

During special periods, he took on the work of a dispensing volunteer, delivering medicines to residents on the go.

As of the end of April, Wang Guohua has dispensed medicines to more than 700 people.

"Officer Wang, save my mother, she wants to commit suicide." At twelve o'clock in the middle of the night, the sleepy Wang Guohua received an emergency helpline from the residents.

The resident's mother suffers from depression, and her condition is getting worse as the family has stopped taking medication.

After hanging up the phone, Wang Guohua came to the door immediately to help the resident's mother ease her emotions and comfort her, and then communicated with her family about the solution.

"I learned during the conversation that the resident's mother has been out of supply for the psychotropic drugs that she needs to take for a few days," Wang Guohua said. "The situation of such a resident is relatively critical and cannot be waited for. It needs to be resolved immediately."

Holding the empty pill box, Wang Guohua set foot on the "road to find medicine" the next morning. After inquiring about many hospitals, Wang Guohua finally got the resident's needs at the Shanghai Mental Health Center in Xuhui District. He drove back as soon as possible and delivered the medicine to the resident.

Why do you think of dispensing medicines for community residents?

Wang Guohua said: "The neighborhood committee is not enough, so I am here to help." In Wang Guohua's view, such a short sentence is not only a responsibility, but also a promise.

As the matter of Wang Guohua's residents solving difficulties and dispensing medicines spreads in the community, his "awareness" has become higher, and the workload has also increased. The daily dispensing volume has increased from the first few to forty or fifty. , Every time he goes to the hospital, he has to bring dozens of medical insurance cards.

In the memorial community, volunteers and residents who went downstairs to do nucleic acid work can see the community policeman from time to time, hurriedly passing by with a bag full of medicines.

Some residents took pictures and sent them to the circle of friends, and everyone liked one by one.

"Thank you for your efforts. Our residents feel at ease with you!" On Wang Guohua's mobile phone, he often receives thank-you messages from different residents.

Wang Guohua responded simply: "The people's police are for the people."
