Yesterday, Queen Elizabeth II made a remarkable new outing, two weeks away from her platinum jubilee.

The 96-year-old monarch attended the Chelsea Flower Show, an annual flower festival at the Royal Hospital Chelsea, London.

She was accompanied by the Duke and Countess of Wessex, in particular, but what caught the eye was her means of transport.

While we are used to seeing the Queen of England in the back of a Rolls-Royce Phantom or a coach, this time it was in a golf cart that she was driven to the through flower paths!

Just as comfortable as aboard a royal carriage, it was above all a consequence of his health concerns – as much as his iron will to continue his royal duties.

Elegance

The mother of prince Charles indeed suffers from mobility problems, as reported recently by Buckingham Palace.

The Palace confirmed to People that for this event, "adjustments have been made for the Queen's comfort."

Exit the cane.

Elizabeth II, for her part, did not deviate from her usual sense of fashion.

It was dressed in a bubble-gum pink coat that covered a flowered dress, and gloved in white that she discovered the floral arrangement made in her honor by the specialist of the genre, Simon Lycett.
