[Explanation] Spreading out the rice paper, raising the pen, and swiping, the vice-chairman of the Hong Kong Calligraphers Association, Mr. Leung Cointreau, calmly wrote a calligraphy work in one sitting posture.

Liang Cointreau's father is the famous printmaker Liang Yongtai, and his mother is a musician.

Influenced by family art, he began to learn painting at the age of 4 and published his works at the age of 6. At the age of 15, he and his elder brother Liang Junling met with the masters of Lingnan calligraphy in Wanjianlou, Guangzhou, and Mr. Mai Huasan, who wrote inscriptions for Kweichow Moutai, became Mai Huasan. entrant disciple.

I think its calligraphy (idea) should be passed down. I can't say that I have learned his things, I can get it myself, so I have done a lot of work in the promotion and education of calligraphy, including in Guangzhou and Hong Kong. Calligraphy classes were set up, and some calligraphy promotion activities were also held.

On the one hand, in order to inherit our traditional culture, on the other hand, it is also worthy of my teacher.

[Explanation] In Liang Cointreau's view, learning calligraphy is boring, and it is difficult to do it if you have no interest.

In order to increase the interest of children and teenagers in calligraphy, Liang Cointreau did not teach calligraphy in the way of traditional school teaching, but guided children and teenagers' interest in calligraphy step by step through lectures.

The method of giving calligraphy classes is not the method of school lectures. I use the method of lectures mainly to increase the interest of young people in calligraphy. If there is no interest, it will be difficult to learn calligraphy.

Calligraphy is very boring at the beginning, like playing the violin. When you first play it, the tone is very difficult to hear. If you don't have a persistent mentality, it is difficult to learn well.

[Explanation] Liang Cointreau will join hands with Li Kunming and Fang Ping to establish the Lion Rock Literature and Art Association in 2021 to promote calligraphy education through multiple channels.

He hopes to start with education, spread Chinese culture and teach calligraphy in the activities of the association, so that young people can at least recognize the spirit of patriotism and identify with the culture of the motherland.

Especially among teenagers and schools, let them have a sense of identity with the motherland and traditional culture.

After our (association) was established, our first job was to teach calligraphy in elementary school, perform calligraphy on the spot, give students "Disciple Rules", teach students how to learn calligraphy, and tell them why they should learn calligraphy, What are the benefits of learning calligraphy?

[Commentary] Liang Cointreau has traveled to Japan, South Korea, the United States, and many countries in Southeast Asia for many years, actively promoting Chinese culture, and also made him aware of the influence of Sinology overseas.

Leung Cointreau believes that although calligraphy is "written to convey the Tao", it is actually an art of lines. Foreigners will appreciate the content through line art. Hong Kong can become a cultural and artistic exchange center between China and foreign countries according to its own advantages. .

[Concurrent] Liang Cointreau, Vice Chairman of Hong Kong Calligraphers Association

I think Hong Kong can become a cultural and artistic exchange center between China and foreign countries. Recently, we were also invited to participate in the Korean calligraphy exhibition, and I also participated in the Japanese calligraphy exhibition, because many countries in Southeast Asia also know Chinese and are also interested in Chinese calligraphy.
