Kyoto Prefecture and Kyoto City announced on the 20th that 898 new people have been confirmed to be infected with the new coronavirus.
This brings the total number of infected people in Kyoto Prefecture to 196,368.
There were no announcements of people who died of infection.
There were two seriously ill people as of the 19th, an increase of one from the 18th.
