"Fuck" more than 100 elderly people "investing in cemeteries" with millions of yuan?

Catch it!

Xinhua News Agency, Hefei, May 19 (Reporter Chen Nuo) Advocating "investment in cemeteries" for stable profits, in fact, illegal fund-raising is a big "flicker".

The reporter recently learned from the Public Security Bureau of Hefei City, Anhui Province that the local police cracked an illegal fund-raising case that used the guise of "investing in a cemetery" to defraud the elderly of "retirement money", involving more than 6.5 million yuan, and more than 110 elderly people were deceived.

In April of this year, the High-tech Branch of the Hefei Public Security Bureau successively received reports from a number of people claiming that they had been deceived in a company's "investment in a cemetery".

The police investigation found that the company was suspected of illegal fundraising. The suspects Cheng Mou and Ji Mou recruited personnel to recommend "cemetery sales" and "cemetery investment" projects to the elderly by setting up booths and distributing leaflets at local vegetable markets and supermarkets.

Cheng and others advocated that the project was lucrative, and publicly declared that "the annualized interest rate can reach 18% to 30%".

Some elderly people are gullible to such words, and have handed over the "pension money" they have accumulated for many years to the company.

At first, the elderly who participated in the "investment" could also receive monthly interest. However, after half a year, the promised benefits could not be realized, and they realized that they were fooled.

Cheng Mou and Ji Mou confessed after they arrived at the case that they operated a small cemetery project in another place. Due to the remote location and poor sales of the cemetery, they came up with the crooked idea of "letting the elderly to invest in the cemetery".

In just half a year, they defrauded more than 6.5 million yuan in investment funds from more than 110 elderly people.

At present, Cheng and Ji have been taken criminal compulsory measures by the police for the crime of illegally absorbing public deposits, and the police have recovered some of the victims' investment funds.

The case is under further investigation.
