Zelensky asked the film industry to take part in the global stances against the Russian invasion, referring to Charlie Chaplin's film "The Dictator" from 1940, in which Chaplin imitated and mocked Nazi Germany's dictator Adolf Hitler.

- Chaplin's dictator did not stop the real dictator, but thanks to the power of film, through that film, the film industry took a stand.

We need a new Chaplin that can show that the film industry is not dumb, Zelenskyj said, among other things.

He was greeted by standing ovations from the star-studded audience.
