On May 17, a liquid oxygen tanker crashed out of the expressway and leaked in an accident 1 km from the west exit of Shifang on the double line of Chengdu Mianyang Expressway. The situation at the scene was urgent.
At the scene of the accident, the 21-ton liquid oxygen tanker that rolled over in the field below the highway was seriously damaged, and the tanker valve had leaks. The people in the vehicle escaped and were sent to the hospital for treatment.
After the accident, the highway public security implemented temporary control over the accident road section, and the 119 command center mobilized 9 fire trucks and 19 firefighters to the scene for disposal.
Arriving at the scene, the firefighters diluted the gas leaked from the tanker with water guns, and under the guidance of professionals, used water to protect the tanker's righting operation.
After 8 hours of intense disposal, the danger was successfully eliminated.
The cause of the accident is currently under investigation by the high-speed police.
