Is it true that Coke can put out a fire?

Recently, the Beijing Daxing District Fire Rescue Detachment has conducted several small experiments.

First, combustibles such as paper were ignited to simulate a fire. After violent shaking, the cola was sprayed towards the fire, and the fire was quickly extinguished.

But when the gasoline simulated oil fire was ignited, not only did the fire not go out, but the fire became even bigger.

Xiong Yunxu, deputy head of the Xihongmen Special Service Station of the Fire Rescue Detachment in Daxing District, Beijing, said that cola fire extinguishing is only suitable for small fires, such as oil fires and electrical fires, and carbonated beverages such as cola must not be used for first aid.

If a large fire does occur, the public must call 119 and use firefighting facilities to put out the fire.
