On May 18, 1962, Batyrkhan Shukenov, a musician, member of the first line-up of A'Studio, was born. He joined the group as a saxophonist, but soon took the place of vocalist. The artist performed such hits of the group as "Stop, Night", "Soldier of Love", "Unloved" and "Julia". In 2000, the musician began his solo career and subsequently recorded several albums (including in the Kazakh language). Shukenov was also an adviser to the President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev on culture and a goodwill ambassador for UNICEF.
