At the shrine in Katsuragi City, Nara Prefecture, the lovely appearance of the spot-billed ducks is entertaining the visitors.

Spot-billed ducks have been raising children for 17 years at the pond in the precincts of the Tsukudani Masu Hitokoto Shrine in Katsuragi City.

Hina has appeared from the 14th of this month, and the seven birds that imitate the parent birds and peck at the aquatic plants in the pond are entertaining the visitors.

On the 17th, children attending a nearby kindergarten or elementary school visited and cheered when the chicks appeared from the grass on the island in the pond.

A girl in the second grade of elementary school said, "I was so cute that I couldn't climb the rocks on Ikejima and fell down. I want to come back next year."

It is said that the shrine has begun to award a special red stamp featuring the parents and children of spot-billed ducks for a limited time.

Kazushi Takatsu, the priest of the shrine, said, "Everyone, I'm looking forward to it now. I want you to watch over the seven birds so that they can grow together."

According to the shrine, it is highly possible that you can enjoy the lovely appearance because you have moved to another place about 3 days after you started to show up every year.
