The writer Domingo Villar (Vigo, 1971) has been admitted in the early hours of this Monday in the
Intensive Care Unit of the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Vigo
in a "very serious" condition after suffering a stroke.

According to hospital sources, the writer is now in a coma and did not make it to the floor when he arrived at the center with "severe hemorrhage."
Villar rose to fame with the creation of the character Leo Caldas, protagonist of the trilogy "Ollos de auga", "A praia dos afogados" and "O último barco".
