Parents and children of spot-billed ducks appear in an artificial pond in a commercial facility in Kanazawa, showing a lovely appearance to the visitors.

Spot-billed ducks spawn in a small artificial pond at the entrance of a commercial facility in Moroemachi, Kanazawa, and 13 chicks are showing cute appearance from 13th this month.

Spot-billed ducks have been coming to this pond for two years and have become popular with shoppers.

It means that the spot-billed ducks' parents and children can live comfortably by cleaning the pond regularly with commercial facilities and people living nearby, and by installing slopes and blocks where chicks can rest.

The chicks fledge about two months after birth, which means that if they grow well, they will fledge around August.
