On May 15, the cross-sea section of the East Rail Line of the MTR Corporation Limited (MTR) was opened to traffic. The special train on the first day departed from the Convention and Exhibition Station at 5:25 in the morning, heading towards Kowloon, attracting more than 2,000 citizens. Members of the public also took pictures on the platform.
In addition, MTR executives also took this special train to Hung Hom Station and distributed souvenirs to the public.
