[Explanation] As a child, he suffered an electric shock for catching birds naughty and lost both arms.
Growing up, he became famous for painting birds.
Huang Guofu, a well-known mouth and foot painter, has forged an indissoluble bond with birds all his life. On the way to pursue a happy life, he interprets: how cruel life is, how tough life is.
Huang Guofu is a native of Tongnan, Chongqing. Because he was born in a rural area, catching dragonflies, birds and butterflies in the fields became a childhood pleasure.
At the age of four, he was electrocuted when he caught a bird and touched a transformer, and lost both arms at a young age.
At the age of 12, the bird who once brought pain to Huang Guofu reappeared in his life in a different way.
When he saw someone carving a bird pattern on a pen at school, he was immediately drawn to it.
After that, he developed a strong interest in painting and began to learn from painting birds.

When I was learning to draw, I also drew birds, and drew all kinds of birds.
Up to now, the paintings are mainly of flowers, birds and animals.
So for this bird, I forged an indissoluble bond.
Because the bird lost both arms, because the bird came into contact with painting, because painting the bird changed my life and made my life beautiful.
[Explanation] Learning to draw is even more difficult for Huang Guofu, who has no arms.
He went to the local cultural center to learn art from a teacher, walks more than 30 kilometers every day to learn painting, and never slack off.
He first learned to draw with his feet. At first, he couldn't grasp the strength of his feet with a pen, and he practiced day and night until his legs and feet cramped.
After hard practice, Huang Guofu's legs and feet are now very flexible, dressing, washing, eating, writing, and painting are all easy and comfortable.
For him, the foot is his third hand.

Since I lost my arms when I was four, my first reaction was to use my feet instead of my hands.
Because like I am now, I also use my feet to draw sketches, especially those animals, and use my feet to hold a signature pen to design sketches on paper.
Because I think so, when I get older, my teeth fall out, and my feet can continue to draw.
[Explanation] Losing his arms, Huang Guofu did not give up on himself, but falling in love with painting helped him find the direction of his life.
After 40 years of painting, his paintings of flowers and birds, animals and landscapes have been exported to Singapore, the United States, Germany, France, Japan and Australia.

In these 40 years, the earliest is hard, then they say that you only have to work hard, and finally you will be rewarded.
Don't think of yourself as a disabled person, get your mind right, and study hard.
So now, through the achievement of painting, my paintings have been sold all over the world.
[Commentary] Huang Guofu joined the International Mouth and Foot Painting Art Association to exchange and learn with mouth and foot painters from all over the world to improve his skills.
In addition, he also taught the disabled to learn to draw for free, and used his personal experience to inspire every disabled friend to pursue the dream of art.

Because I have contact with many disabled friends who draw, and because I think that I am disabled, I can change my life through calligraphy and painting.
I am very happy to teach many disabled friends, and I hope that every disabled friend who loves painting and calligraphy can support themselves through writing, painting, and labor.
[Explanation] Although he lost his arms since he was a child and was not treated well by life, Huang Guofu moved his life with his passion for his dreams and unremitting efforts, and stepped into the longing art palace step by step.
