INTERVIEW

The four Breton members of the group Alvan & Ahez will represent France on Saturday evening on the big Eurovision stage in Italy, in Turin.

They will try to do as well, or even better, than Barbara Pravi who took second place last year, and to succeed Marie Myriam, the last French winner in 1977 with her famous title

L'Oiseau et l'Enfant

.

This year, it is the title

Fulenn

, which means sparkle and pretty girl both in Breton, which will defend the colors of France in front of nearly 200 million viewers.

Sterenn Diridollou, one of the three performers, says more about this title at the microphone of Europe 1.

"To tell ourselves that we are going to present this song in front of millions of viewers, 15,000 people in the room, a song that we made in our magic cauldron this summer, we can't wait to do this show and present it with the flames, the smoke, the lights ... It's going to be a magical moment", she confides first at the microphone of Europe 1.

An electro style and traditional music

The title of the group is entirely written in the Breton language.

It alternates between an electro style and a more traditional style.

It is a song that was first acclaimed by viewers of France 2, during a show where 12 titles competed to represent France.

“The feedback we get from people, the public, other artists, is rather very encouraging,” notes Sterenn Diridollou.

This song by the Breton group also has a specific objective, which is to "show that we have a very, very rich country culturally in terms of language diversity and musical diversity", adds one of the three performers.

If the returns are rather positive for this title, the big favorite of the 66th edition of Eurovision remains Ukraine, in a difficult context due to the Russian invasion.
