Snake skin in meal causes hotel closure

A hotel in the Indian state of Kerala has been temporarily closed after one of its guests discovered a snake skin in her food delivery parcel.

A woman was shocked to find a snakeskin in her food delivery parcel, visibly after the food had been wrapped in newspaper.

The incident occurred on May 5th when the female guest ordered food from Shalimar Hotel.

When she unpacked the food parcel, she found a piece of snakeskin half a finger long inside the package, leaving her in shock.

The inmate's family immediately filed a complaint, after which the municipal authorities and the police launched an investigation.

Kerala state's Assistant Commissioner for Food Safety Thiruvananthapuram Anil Kumar said the restaurant is temporarily closed, as hotel owners have been directed to open the hotel only after a thorough cleaning has been carried out.
