Lam Cheng Yuet-ngor expressed her best wishes for Li Jiachao to successfully organize a class for more than a month and lead Hong Kong to a new peak in the next five years.

  After Lin Zhengyue and Li Jiachao met, they jointly met the media in the Lecture Hall of the SAR Government Headquarters where the national emblem and the regional emblem were hung on the background board.

  "After we successfully held the election of the sixth chief executive, the political system of 'patriots ruling Hong Kong' has been successfully established in accordance with the Basic Law." Carrie Lam said, thanking the central government again for taking measures when Hong Kong faced unprecedented difficulties. Decisive measures have been taken successively to formulate the Hong Kong National Security Law and improve the Hong Kong election system, so that Hong Kong can be transformed from chaos to governance and long-term stability.

  Carrie Lam said that the term of the current SAR government is less than two months, and there is still a lot of work to be done.

One of the important tasks is the smooth handover with the next SAR government.

"The SAR government led by me will provide all necessary assistance to the sixth-term SAR government that Li Jiachao started to organize." She said, including completing the government restructuring process in the shortest possible time, while continuing to stabilize the epidemic situation. To create necessary conditions for "customs clearance (exemption of quarantine personnel)" with the mainland in the future, so that Hong Kong society can return to normal as soon as possible, and citizens can happily participate in the activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the establishment of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region.

  Li Jiachao expressed his gratitude to the SAR government for holding a successful and smooth chief executive election on the 8th under the leadership of the Chief Executive.

He said that the meeting just now discussed the handover work in the next few weeks, including the restructuring of the government structure, epidemic prevention and anti-epidemic work, and activities to celebrate the 25th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to the motherland.
