After the death of a 27-year-old who was hit by a police car in Peacehaven in southern England, a supervisory authority has started investigations into the driving police officer.

The Sussex police and the responsible supervisory authority announced on Friday evening that the person concerned was being investigated for dangerous driving and possible gross misconduct.

The 27-year-old was hit by an unmarked police car in the late evening of April 30 and died of his injuries at the scene of the accident.
