China News Service, May 6. According to Hong Kong's Sing Tao.com report, today is not only the 40th anniversary of the electrification of the Kowloon-Canton Railway, but also the glorious retirement of the 12-car train of the MTR East Rail Line, which has grown up with Hong Kong people.

The last 12 trucks of "Wuyantou", which have served Hong Kong for decades, started the "Retirement Journey" this afternoon. They left Hung Hom Station at 1:09 pm and headed for Sha Tin Station, where they stopped for a short time on Platform 1. Citizens will officially retire after "checking in".

The MTR will broadcast live from 12:45.

A group of railway fans went to Hung Hom Station early to say goodbye to the "black teen", and waited on the platform, ready to take the last train to Sha Tin Station, and walked through the last journey of the train together.

The last train with the words "Thank you for the mid-term refurbishment train MLR" posted on the front of the train entered the platform of Hung Hom Station at 1:00 pm on time. Railway fans waiting on the platform greeted them with applause, and they filed into the train after holding up their mobile phones to take pictures.

Many railway fans took pictures with their homemade props, and the atmosphere was sad and lively.

After boarding the passengers, the train left Hung Hom Station at 1:09 p.m. and officially embarked on the "retirement journey".

During the trip, there was a special broadcast on the bus to introduce the history of "black teenage head" and that it would retire after arriving at Shatin Station.

The passengers in the car were busy punching their cards, barely missing every inch of the car.

The last bus arrives at Sha Tin Station at 1:25 pm.

There are already many railway fans on the platform inside the station to greet them and capture the moment when the train enters the station.

After the train stopped, railway fans came to the front of the train to take pictures, and stayed in the carriage to check in, and they were reluctant to leave for a long time.

MLR trains are mid-term refurbishment trains of the MTR.

MTR recently described on Facebook that "MLR has served everyone for decades, connecting everyone's daily life, and it can be said that everyone's 'seeing the big from childhood'".
