Fukuoka Prefecture announced on the 5th that it was confirmed that 1372 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus in the prefecture.
It has fallen below the same day of the previous week for eight consecutive days.
The breakdown is 315 in Fukuoka City, 223 in Kitakyushu City, and 103 in Kurume City.
A total of 378,149 people have been confirmed infected in Fukuoka Prefecture.
There were no announcements of infected individuals confirmed dead.
