May 4 was chosen by “Star Wars” fans to celebrate the films, characters and “culture” of this globally successful saga created by George Lucas.

On the occasion of "Star Wars Day 2022", let's take a look at all of the countries that have served as sets for the films in the series.

From Tatooine to Endor or Alderaan

Famous filming locations include Tunisia, where the homes and landscapes of the Tataouine region were used to create the iconic planet Tatooine (got it?).

The forest moon of Endor, the land of the adorable Ewoks, can be explored by strolling among the giant redwoods of Redwood National Park, California.

Closer to home in Europe, the Bernese Alps around the Swiss village of Grindelwald served as landscapes for the planet Alderaan.

And despite its fabulous natural settings, France has not yet hosted any filming of "Star Wars"...
