At 7:45 on May 4, the members of the Macao Academic Flag Raising Team took a neat step and escorted the national flag to the flag-raising platform.
When the national anthem was played, all those who participated in the flag-raising ceremony stood up, sang the national anthem, and watched the five-star red flag rise slowly.
About 600 people attended the flag-raising ceremony, including representatives of the Macao SAR government, representatives of the central agencies in Macao, teachers and students from various schools in Macao and people from all walks of life.
At the event, video clips and live speeches were also used to enhance students' understanding of the history and spirit of the May 4th Movement.
