Juicy is the meeting of two singers and multi-instrumentalists from Brussels,
as comfortable on an
electro
beat as in a live performance with four hands and two pianos.
Portrait of a mutant entity with two (beautiful) (well done) heads, whose first album,
Mobile
, has fun mixing genres.
Bold and fun.

Juicy is the meeting, on the benches of the Royal Conservatory of Brussels, of two singers and multi-instrumentalists:
Sasha Vovk
and
Julie Rens.
First a rap and r'n'b cover band, Juicy reveals its true face in 2018 with a first EP
Cast A Spell
, followed by a second, the following year:
Crumbs
.
Smart and funny texts, sung in English.
A pop blended with all their influences, from jazz to classical, for a deliciously unclassifiable result.
As comfortable on a cover of Diam's as in a live performance with four hands and two pianos, Julie and Sasha ignore codes, fashions and expectations.
Between
electro
beats , hip hop
flow
and an orchestra of flutes and strings, these two thirty-somethings have fun mixing genres and are not afraid to tackle, in songs, subjects that annoy people like incest (
Late Night)
or feminicides (
Love When It's Getting Bad
;
Truth
;
Haunter
) and society such as the influence of social networks (
Treffles
) or survivalism (
Bug in
).
The duo has just delivered
Mobile
, their first album
.
To celebrate, I went to meet Julie and Sasha in their HQ, a café in the Saint-Géry district, right in the center of Brussels…
A conversation in complete privacy and in 3D audio (spatialized sound).
A podcast to listen to, preferably, with headphones.
