The China Youth May Fourth Medal is the highest honor awarded to outstanding Chinese youth by the Central Committee of the Communist Youth League and the All-China Youth Federation.

The 36-year-old Jia Juntingxian was born in Pingxiang, Jiangxi Province, and was blind in both eyes due to congenital eye disease.
In 2002, she showed athletic talent since childhood and was selected as a track and field athlete by Jiangxi Disabled Persons' Federation.
Although she can't see the world, Jia Juntingxian breaks through the "immediate" obstacles again and again while running, letting the world see her.
In her many years of sports career, Jia Juntingxian has won 43 national and world-class sports medals.
Among them, in 2016, she broke the world record and boarded the podium of the women's T11-T13 4×100-meter relay event at the Rio Paralympics.
After the Rio Paralympics, Jia Juntingxian, who walked off the field, stood on the podium and became a teacher at the Pingxiang City Special Education School in Jiangxi Province, teaching Braille, directional walking, body correction, and computers for the blind.

From Paralympic champion to special education teacher, Jia Juntingxian, whose role has changed, bluntly said that there is no discomfort, "Because I can't see since I was a child, I was studying in a blind school before."
"Working in a special school, I will pay special attention to the mental health of the students." In her opinion, she understands the students as well as herself, and knows the inconveniences and difficulties of the children.
"They liked my class very much, and sometimes they would take the initiative to ask questions when they were on vacation."
In fact, after retiring, Jia Juntingxian, who studied Chinese medicine rehabilitation at the university, faced three job opportunities in the hospital, the Disabled Persons' Federation and the special school. She had higher income and better conditions to go to the disabled person's federation, but she still chose to work in the special school.
"I want to be a good special education teacher, so that children with disabilities like me can integrate into the big family of society. I hope that every child is like a different seed. Through hard study, they can finally realize their own life bravely. Value." According to each student's different situation, Jia Juntingxian made a lesson plan for each student, teaching students according to their aptitude.

According to incomplete statistics, over the past 20 years, she and her husband have participated in volunteer services for nearly 5,000 hours, donated nearly 200,000 yuan in donations, and helped thousands of poor team members and blind people.
"I have been cared and cared for by many people from all walks of life since I was a child, and I felt that I must think about passing on everyone's love for me." Speaking of everyone's help to herself, Jia Juntingxian choked several times, "For example, once On the bus, a passenger kindly reminded me, 'Girl, there is a seat there', but I couldn't see where it was, and when I was at a loss, the passenger carefully led me there."
