The nurses and caregivers of the Saint-Brieuc hospital (Côtes-d'Armor) were offered an unusual arrangement.

A bonus of 350 euros was offered to them for each week of summer leave initially put during the summer school holidays but postponed after September 15.

The need for hospital care is therefore on the rise.

However, the establishment is already facing a significant shortage of nursing staff.

In question, the resurgence of work stoppages, linked in particular to cases of Covid-19, and departures.

Several dozen positions for nurses and nursing assistants are thus vacant.

Hospital management has also offered to house, sometimes free of charge, employees who have come from afar.

The CGT of the establishment expressed its disagreement with these decisions, believing that the solution lies in hiring and the transformation of overtime into jobs.
