• The Dior Gallery is located at 11, rue François-1er (Paris 8th).

  • Haute couture, perfumery, jewelry… No aspect of the creations of Christian Dior and his house is overlooked in this 2,000 square meter space.

  • The highlight of the show, very "instagramable", is the showcase around the central staircase.

It brings together, in a gradation of colors, some 452 dresses and 1,422 accessories shrunk and modeled using a 3D printer.

Since early March, tourists and Parisians can immerse themselves in the Christian Dior universe in the capital.

At 11, rue François-1er (Paris 8th), the Dior Gallery covers 2,000 square meters, taking visitors on a journey through the life and work of the couturier.

Haute couture, perfumery, jewelry, workshops, and even a reconstructed office... no aspect of creation has been overlooked.

The new museum is very modern and the scenography fantastic and dazzling.

Follow the guide...

“It is very difficult to know oneself.

Do we ever know each other?

»

The journey begins in the elevator where we hear Christian Dior confide in his life before discovering various photos, dresses, bottles of perfume, like so many biographical elements... "It is very difficult to know oneself same.

Do we ever know each other?

he wonders.

This is the question that the Gallery tries to answer.

We (re)discover the passion that Christian had for flowers and the artists with whom he became friends.

We become aware of his multiple sources of inspiration for his iconic looks.

Within this gallery, one can also observe the work of his six successors, Yves Saint Laurent, Marc Bohan, Maria Grazia Chiuri, Raf Simons, Gianfranco Ferré and John Galliano.

But not only, each week noses, seamstresses, embroiderers etc., working with the Dior house follow one another and come to talk about their profession while giving a demonstration.

This helps to highlight these craft trades that are becoming scarce.

A visual spectacle

As one progresses in the visit, one has the impression of advancing in time.

The different dresses, jewels and perfumes are sublimated by a sound as well as visual spectacle.

Technology transports us between archival videos and current videos.

The decorations have also been created to best appreciate each stage of the journey, such as, for example, a transparent floor or a kind of garden reconstituted with the couturier's dresses.

The highlight of the show, images of which have gone viral on social media, is the showcase around the central staircase.

A real color gradient made up of 452 dresses and 1,422 accessories shrunk and modeled using a 3D printer.

The staircase being the last stage of the journey, the visitor can admire the greatest successes of the house accumulated in different shapes and colors, a bit like a bouquet of flowers.

A final bouquet.
