The earth shook slightly this Monday afternoon in the Ubaye valley, in the Alpes-de-Haute-Provence department.
The earthquake was felt around 3:40 p.m. in the localities of Faucon-de-Barcelonnette, Barcelonnette and Jausiers, specifies La Provence.
Several tremors recorded in recent days
The tremor in these municipalities would have originated from a magnitude 4 earthquake recorded in the region of Turin, Italy, according to our colleagues.
The latter specify that an earthquake of magnitude 0.9 was noted the day before around 3 am in Saint-Paul-sur-Ubaye.
Another earthquake of magnitude 1.1 was recorded on April 28 in La Condamine-Châtelard.
