In Kanagawa Prefecture, it was announced on the 1st that it was confirmed that 1930 people were newly infected with the new coronavirus.
It is the first time since January 18th that the number of people has decreased by 636 compared to the previous Sunday and has fallen below 2000.
Also, the number of infected people has fallen below the same day of the previous week for four consecutive days.
On the other hand, no death was announced.
According to NHK's summary, the number of infected people announced in Kanagawa Prefecture is now 703,893, of which 2138 have died.
The prefecture continues to call for thorough basic infection control measures.
The number of infected people does not include those who are undergoing voluntary medical treatment that does not fall under the Infectious Diseases Control Law.
