China News Service, Heihe, May 1 (Reporter Jiang Hui from Han Fei) On the 1st, the Shanhu Border Police Station of the Heihe Border Management Detachment of the Heilongjiang Entry-Exit Frontier Inspection Station received an alarm and found a shell on the Heilongjiang River.

The police rushed to the scene immediately and initially identified it as a mortar shell with a complete body.

At present, the danger has been ruled out.

According to Wang Weijia, a police officer at the Shanhu Border Police Station, at about 9:20 on the 1st, a border guard found an artillery shell when he was patrolling the crossing of Long Beach on the Heilong River, and he immediately called the police for handling.

After receiving the alarm, the police immediately went to dispose of it. When they arrived at the scene, they saw an oval black shell lying flat on the ground outside the dam.

The police immediately set up a cordon around the scene to warn nearby residents to stay away from the area where the shells were located.

Subsequently, the police contacted the Public Security Brigade of the Public Security Bureau of Xunke County, Heihe City, and cooperated to deal with it.

The police observed the shells from a distance.

Preliminary identification shows that this is a mortar shell. The shell body is complete, partially corroded, and relatively intact. The tail and fuze are all in place. A little carelessness may cause an explosion hazard.

The police speculated that the shell may have been discarded on the riverside and covered with snow in winter, and as the ice and snow melted, the border guards found it and called the police.

At present, the shells have been transferred to a safe area for destruction, and the danger has been ruled out.
