May 1, 1917 was born Fyodor Khitruk - the creator of many Soviet cartoons, an experimenter and innovator. He got a job as an animator at Soyuzmultfilm in 1937, and first appeared as a director in 1962 with the film The Story of a Crime. Later, under the leadership of Khitruk, such popularly beloved tapes as "Boniface's Vacation", three parts of "Winnie the Pooh" and "Film, Film, Film" were released.
