Temperatures record highest in India and Pakistan in 122 years

Temperatures in parts of India and Pakistan recorded their highest average in April, with expectations that this heat wave will extend into next May.

An official at the Indian Meteorological Authority said that the regions of northwest and central India recorded average temperatures of 35.9 and 37.78 degrees Celsius, respectively, in April, the highest since records began 122 years ago.
